The 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship "Silk Road" – High-Level Chinese Language Talent Education Program for Belt and Road Partner Countries at Nanchang University is now officially open for applications. This scholarship is open to international students who intend to pursue master’s degrees in Chinese Language and Literature or Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages at our university. Eligible candidates are welcome to submit their applications via the online application platform between May 1 and May 18, 2026.
一、申请要求Application Requirements
1. 招生专业：中国语言文学、国际中文教育
Available Majors: Chinese Language and Literature, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages
2. 身份要求：申请人须为印度尼西亚、越南、泰国、土库曼斯坦籍公民。
Eligible Nationalities: Applicants must be citizens of Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Turkmenistan.
3. 学历要求：本科及以上学历
Academic Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or above holders.
4. 年龄要求：35周岁以下
Age Requirement: Under 35 years old.
5. 语言要求：HSK5级及以上
Language Requirement: HSK 5 or higher.
6. 其他要求：热爱中国文化，有志于从事与中国语言、文化、教育或研究相关职业，未来为“一带一路”人文交流贡献力量。身心健康，品行良好，满足南昌大学学术、语言及其他入学要求，且未享受其他任何形式奖学金资助。
Other Requirements:With a deep passion for Chinese culture, applicants should aspire to pursue a career related to Chinese language, culture, education, or research, and contribute to people-to-people connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative.Applicants shall be in good physical and mental health, with good conduct. They must meet the academic, language and other admission requirements of Nanchang University, and shall not receive any other form of scholarship.
二、申请材料 Application Documents
1. 护照首页。护照有效期应晚于2026年12月。
Passport home page. The passport shall be valid beyond December 2026.
2. 经公证的最高学历证明。如申请人为应届本科生，须提供就读学校出具的预计毕业时间证明或在学证明。
Notarized highest diploma. For graduating undergraduate applicants, a graduation anticipation certificate or student status certificate issued by the current university is required.
3. 成绩单。应包括本科学习阶段，直至最近一学期的成绩。成绩单应由就读学校教务处、研究生院或来华留学生管理部门开具并盖章。
Academic transcripts. Transcripts should include the academic results of the undergraduate stage up to the latest semester. All transcripts must be issued and officially stamped by the academic affairs office, graduate school or relevant administrative department of the issuing institution.
4. HSK5级180分及以上的成绩报告，成绩须在有效期内（自考试成绩发布日期至提交申请之日，有效期为2年）。
A valid HSK Level 5 score of 180 or above (scores are valid for 2 years from the test result release date to the application submission date).
5. 来华学习计划。应使用中文书写，字数1000 字以上。
Study plan. The plan must be written in Chinese with no less than 1,000 words.
6. 2封推荐信。应由具有副教授以上职称的推荐人出具，内容包含对申请人来华学习目标要求，对学生综合能力及未来发展潜力的评价。
Two recommendation letters. The letters shall be written by professors or associate professors, covering the applicant’s study objectives in China, cooperation or exchange between the home institution and Nanchang University, as well as comments on the applicant’s comprehensive competence and future development potential.
7. 《外国人体格检查表》。此表格由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效，检查结果有效期为 6 个月。
Foreigner Physical Examination Form. This official form is uniformly issued by China’s health quarantine authorities. Applicants must complete all required medical items. Incomplete forms, forms without affixed photos or cross seals, and those without signatures and official stamps of physicians and hospitals will be deemed invalid. The physical examination result is valid for 6 months.
8. 无犯罪记录证明。应由所在地公安机关出具，通常应为提交申请之日前 6 个月以内的证明文件。
Non-criminal record certificate. The document shall be issued by the local public security authority and dated within 6 months prior to the application submission date.
*注意：以上材料如为中文、英语以外语种，需另提供英文翻译件并公证。材料须清晰、真实、有效，因材料不清晰或无法识别造成的后果由申请人承担。
Note: Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized English translations. All submitted materials shall be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants shall be fully responsible for any adverse consequences caused by unclear or unrecognizable documents.
三、申请流程 Application Process
1. 申请者登录南昌大学来华留学生在线申请平台：http://apply.ncu.edu.cn/ ，按要求如实填写申请信息并上传申请材料。
Applicants shall log on to the International Student Online Application Portal of Nanchang University at http://apply.ncu.edu.cn/ fill in the application information truthfully as required, and upload the application materials.
2. 初审合格后，参加南昌大学面试复审。
Applicants who pass the preliminary review will participate in the admission interview and re-examination organized by Nanchang University.
3. 复审合格者需统一参加南昌大学组织的综合考核（具体时间另行通知）。Applicants who pass the re-examination shall take the comprehensive assessment arranged by Nanchang University (the specific time will be notified separately).
四、资助内容 Scholarship Coverage
该项目在标准学制内提供学费、住宿费及保险费资助，每月发放3000元人民币生活补贴，往返中国国际旅费由申请人自行承担。最终获得名额以中国国家留学基金委员会审核结果为准。
The program provides funding for tuition, accommodation, and insurance within the standard duration of study, along with a monthly living allowance of RMB 3,000. International travel expenses shall be borne by the applicants. The final quota of awardees is subject to the review results of the China Scholarship Council.
