As June ushers in the height of summer, graduation season returns. Caps and gowns, group photos, heartfelt embraces—these iconic images mark the final chapter of campus life for the  2026 graduates at Nanchang University. Yet for international students who came from every corner of the globe, a farewell ceremony held in their honor added a warm and dignified final touch to their study-abroad journey.

On the afternoon of June 23, the 2026 farewell ceremony for international graduates of Nanchang University was held at the Traditional Culture Experience Hall (Room 103)of the International Education College. The event was hosted by Vice Dean Lin Xia.

The ceremony kicked off with an energetic dance performance titled Youth on the Fly, which brought a lively and joyful atmosphere to the hall.

Vice Dean Song Wenjie delivered a speech, congratulating all the graduates. She shared fond memories with the students and expressed her pride in their growth through language learning, academic work, and cross-cultural exchange. She encouraged them to keep learning, stay grounded, and uphold kindness, respect, and inclusiveness—breaking down barriers and building bridges across cultures.

Lan Jun'ai (English name:ISLAM JUNAID), a graduate representative from Pakistan, shared his journey at NCU—from an uncertain newcomer to a confident graduate. His voice paused with emotion as he said: "NCU is no longer just where I study—it's my second home." His sincere words touched the hearts of many teachers and students present.

Counselor Shi Zeng (Mr. Rocky) also gave a heartfelt address, reminding the graduates that NCU will always be a lighthouse they can look back on, no matter how far they go.

A touching musical performance, A Road Full of Flowers, added a gentle and uplifting note to the afternoon.

Vice Dean Bi Yun then announced the awards for outstanding graduates and the appointment of new alumni liaisons. Certificates and letters of appointment were presented by Vice Deans Song and Bi.

As the ceremony wound down, graduates presented flowers to their teachers—each flower carrying a silent "thank you" that spoke volumes. Each graduate then stepped up to one of the deans to receive their diploma and pose for a photo together. In every smiling face captured by the camera, there was joy and pride in what they had achieved, mixed with a reluctance to say goodbye.

Outside, summer was at its peak; inside, warmth and affection filled the air. The farewell ceremony felt like a gentle rain, nourishing the seeds that are about to take root and flourish in different corners of the world. And the spirit and openness that define every NCU graduate will travel with them—far and wide, across the world.
