Recently, a medical record written in Chinese by Imran Khan (伊慢), a Pakistani student of cohort 2022 majoring in Clinical Medicine at NCU, has received high praise from both faculty and students. The record includes complete information such as chief complaint, history of present illness, and past medical history, uses standard medical terminology like complete blood count and liver function tests, and features a well-structured, logical, and coherent description of the patient's condition.

This medical record was completed by Imran Khan during his rotational internship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. Starting from April 20, undergraduate students of cohort 2022 majoring in Clinical Medicine began their clinical internships at the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of Nanchang University. During internship, international students accompanied their supervising teachers on outpatient visits, ward rounds, and practical procedures, while also making use of their spare time to learn Chinese, improve their communication skills using Chinese with patients, and practice writing medical records in Chinese.

The path to becoming a doctor is long and arduous. Earnestness is the only shortcut to becoming a good doctor. It is hoped that each international student will maintain a serious and diligent attitude during their clinical internships, apply your medical knowledge to clinical practice, and further improve your Chinese proficiency. We also hope that other students can follow the example of Imran Khan, and write their own answers as future doctors with professionalism and rigor.
