President Chen Yeguang, CAS Academician, Visits Former NCU Leaders

On the afternoon of December 7, President Chen Yeguang, CAS Academician, accompanied by Li Deping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of NCU, and comrades in charge of NCU’s Office of Party Committee and Administrative Affairs and Division of Retirement Affairs, visited the former leaders of NCU, Zhou Shaosen and Zheng Keqiang, sent them greetings and blessings, and talked about the development of NCU with them.

Chen made visits to the former leaders’ homes, had long talks with them, cared about their health and life, reviewed the ups and downs that NCU had gone through and the remarkable achievements the university had made with them, and sincerely thanked them for their significant contributions to the reform and development of the university. Chen also had in-depth exchanges of views with the former leaders on talent training, discipline development, teaching force building, and course development. Chen patiently listened to the former leaders’ opinions and suggestions on the development of the university in the new era.

Chen said that over the years, thanks to the care and support of the former leaders of NCU and the efforts of the whole university, the university saw remarkable achievements in its development as well as a solid foundation for further development. Serving his alma mater has made Chen deeply aware of his great responsibility and glorious mission. Chen hopes that the former leaders will continue to give full play to their political strength and rich experience, care and support NCU as always, offer more ideas and opinions for the high-quality leapfrog development of the university, and work together to make the university better.
