On the afternoon of November 11, the Fifth Anniversary Commemorative Celebration of BRAUIC & Forum on Higher Education in Architecture was held via video. This event was hosted by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture and attended by more than 200 representatives of more than 40 higher education institutions and organizations from 14 countries, including China, the United Kingdom, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Armenia, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan.
President Zhou Chuangbing, on behalf of Nanchang University, attended the signing ceremony of the letter of intent for cooperation between new members of the Consortium. The Consortium thus expanded its membership to 74 institutions in 28 countries.
Professor Wang Xueqiang, Director of the Architecture Department of Architecture & Design College of Nanchang University, participated in the Forum. As one of the six invited experts, he made a keynote report titled Architecture Shapes the Future—Talent Training Principles and Practices of Nanchang University on the Forum.
The Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium, initiated and established at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture in 2017, in response to the Belt and Road Initiative, takes an active role in promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and the comprehensive reform and internationalization of education and works to build platforms for international talent training, collaborative innovation of scientific research, and people-to-people exchange. In all, it has become an important carrier for promoting innovative talent training and scientific and cultural exchanges in construction engineering in countries of the Belt and Road Initiative.
