NCU and Novosibirsk State University of Russia establish International Educational Partnership

On the morning of June 7, NCU and Novosibirsk State University of Russia held an online international education cooperation agreement signing ceremony, opening a new chapter of international education cooperation between the two universities. President Fedoruk of Novosibirsk State University of Russia, President Zhou Chuangbing and Vice President Deng Xiaohua of NCU attended the ceremony.

Zhou Chuangbing said that NCU and Novosibirsk State University are both comprehensive universities, which are highly compatible in terms of programs offered and advantageous disciplines, and have extensive space and potential for cooperation. We hope that the two universities will work together to build a high-level, substantial and sustainable international education program, and take the project as a basis to carry out all-round cooperation in teaching and research, human culture exchanges and other fields, which will benefit teachers and students of both universities and contribute to the promotion of educational cooperation and human culture exchanges between China and Russia.

On behalf of Novosibirsk State University, Fedoruk sent his sincere greetings to the students and faculty of NCU. He said that Russia and China are friendly neighbors who live in harmony and treat each other frankly, as well as reliable partners for strategic interactions. It is the strategic choice of Novosibirsk State University to cooperate with NCU to jointly train high-quality talents and provide diversified educational opportunities for the young generation of both countries, which will help to promote cultural exchanges between Russia and China and consolidate the long-lasting friendship between the two countries.

Novosibirsk State University, located in Novosibirsk, the third-largest city in the Russian Federation, was founded in 1959 by the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is a world-renowned public research university and is one of the first universities entering the list of Russian national research universities and Project 5-100. The university is known as the Silicon Valley of Russia and has strong strength in basic disciplines such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, as well as in engineering disciplines such as computer science and engineering and petroleum engineering.
