NCU's Success in HSK Short Video Competition for International Chinese Language Day 2023

On August 16, 2023, the winners of the "Embrace the World Through Chinese" HSK Short Video Competition for International Chinese Language Day 2023 were officially announced. Nanchang University won the Outstanding Organization Award (for Chinese Institutions), and the entry, My Experience in Learning Chinese Language, from Umar Uarida Shuaib, a Nigerian student at Nanchang University, stood out among about 1,000 entries submitted by Chinese language learners and enthusiasts from 94 countries around the world and won the Incentive Prize.

To celebrate International Chinese Language Day 2023 and the achievements in the 10-year development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd., together with Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center, various foreign and domestic educational institutions of elementary, secondary, and higher education, and HSK test centers, launched its call for entries to the "Embrace the World Through Chinese" HSK Short Videos Competition on May 4, 2023. With more than 13.3 million people reached across the internet, the event gained widespread attention worldwide and promoted exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese people and people from all over the world. Meanwhile, Chinese language learners and enthusiasts from all over the world may further enhance their understanding and knowledge of Chinese language learning and comprehend the charm of Chinese language together through the event.
