Even in the depth of winter, the students’ dormitories are as warm as spring. On the evening of December 2, students in Dormitory Building XIV welcomed their familiar and kind teacher – Yu Xiaoshe, the Secretary of NCU’s Party Committee. Yu, accompanied by Vice President Liu Yaobin, visited students, chatted with them genially, and asked them about their study and life.
Yu and his delegation came to Meeting Room 103 in Dormitory Building XIV, where four students from the Media Convergence Talents Class of the School of Journalism and Communication were having a lively discussion on the topic chosen for the exclusive interview. “What you’re doing is very meaningful,” said Yu with gratification, “I’m amazed at the changes you have made in the past two months, and the changes reflect the sense of ownership that students at NCU should have.” Yu discussed lots of professional journalistic knowledge with the students and encouraged them to be brave enough to pursue dreams, take responsibility, bear hardship, and fight for success in the new era.
“The temperature in Nanchang has plummeted recently. Do you feel cold?” said Yu. Yu also visited some poverty-stricken students, asked them about their life kindly and carefully, and sent thick quilts for winter and caring subsidies to them to make them feel warm in winter.
The persons in charge of the Student Work Office and the School of Journalism and Communication accompanied Yu to make the visits.
