Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate programs construction in 2021. Twenty programs of Nanchang University were selected as national first-class undergraduate programs, and 20 programs were selected as provincial first-class undergraduate programs.
Since the Ministry of Education launched the three-year Double Ten-thousand Plan for the construction of first-class undergraduate programs in 2019, NCU has been approved 59 national and 26 provincial first-class undergraduate programs in the central track review, and the number of first-class undergraduate programs has reached 89% of the number of programs open to enrollment. In recent years, the university has taken many measures to optimize the structure of programs and strengthen the connotation construction of programs, and the selected first-class undergraduate programs fully demonstrate the remarkable results of our program construction.

The Double Ten-thousand Plan for the construction of first-class undergraduate programs is an important initiative of China to comprehensively revitalize undergraduate education, improve the talent training capacity of colleges and universities, and realize the intensive development of higher education. NCU will insist on demand-oriented, standard-oriented and feature-oriented development, further improve the support measures, continuously increase the construction efforts, strengthen the internal construction of programs, give full play to the demonstration and influential role of first-class programs in the programs reform and innovation, faculty, teaching resources and quality assurance system, drive the rapid improvement of the overall level of program construction of the university, comprehensively improve the quality of talent training, contribute to the Double First Class construction, and provide strong support for the ambitious goal of developing NCU into a world-class university with the characteristics of Jiangxi and China.
